ALPHA Fund Participants gathered in Newport Beach, CA February 18-19, for two days of education and networking. This year’s annual gathering of Participants set an all-time attendance record.
Participants spent Thursday learning and networking with notable experts in the field of workers’ compensation.
Mark Priven, Director, Data Analytics and Specialty Actuarial, Bickmore spoke about the differences in workers’ compensation experience between Northern and Southern California. His informative and entertaining presentation was well received by Participants. Comments from Participants included;

The second educational session, Workers’ Compensation Fraud: Fact, Fiction or Fantasy, discussed the issue of workers’ compensation fraud including, the issues of applicant and provider fraud. This interactive session provided attendees with an opportunity to ask questions of panelists, Jamie Goff, Claims Manager, ALPHA Fund, Stephanie Smith, Esq. and Jennifer Lentz Snyder, Head Deputy, Healthcare Fraud Division, Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office (LADA).
Participants enjoyed the interactive format of the panel and provided feedback including;
