How long have you been an employee of ACHD/ALPHA Fund?
I became an ALPHA Fund employee in February 2005.

What is your role at ACHD/ALPHA Fund?
I am the Director of Participant Services. In my current role, I work with both internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement education and communication initiatives.

How did you first get involved in your career?
I attended a vocational/technical high school where my area of concentration was health services. I was working in healthcare beginning as a high school freshman. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of healthcare settings including: physician practices, skilled nursing, public health, and acute care.

What is the best part of your job?
I most enjoy watching the transfer of knowledge take place. When you see the light-bulb go on, it’s great!

What is the most challenging aspect of your job?
I’m continually looking for new ways to communicate the importance of employee safety. My dream is that one day employee safety and patient safety receive the same amount of interest and attention.

What is your favorite hobby outside of work?
I am a HUGE Red Sox fan! 162 Baseball games in a season isn’t nearly enough.
